We look forward to the Calgary Stampede every year. But we absolutely love the lead-in to the Stampede: The Cody Snyder Bullbustin’ Inc. charity event at the Grey Eagle Resort & Casino. This is the second year we have sponsored and attended this event; this year, however, held special significance. Not only are we celebrating The ITeam’s 30th anniversary, but Cody Snyder Bullbustin’ Inc. is celebrating their 25th anniversary.
So, on July 5, we gathered Clients, staff, and spouses to join us at the event, including the pre-party and the official Bullbustin’ after-party. Held in the Grey Eagle Event Centre, we were treated to live music from country singer-songwriter Meghan Patrick. The Bowmanville, Ontario native earned the Canadian Country Album of the Year Juno Award in 2020 for her Wild As Me album and was also named Female Artist of the Year by the CCMAs in 2017 and 2018. Meghan has been honoured with many other awards throughout her career.
Alberta’s own famous bull rider, Cody Snyder, and his wife Rhonda Snyder founded Bullbustin’ after he retired as Canada’s first PRCA World Champion Bull Rider. The Cody Snyder Bullbustin’ Inc. event features the top bull riders in the world, with all points won counting toward the PBR World Finals in Texas. But the most amazing thing about this event is the more than $3 million it has raised for local Alberta charities.
This year’s Bullbustin’ event was in support of Luna Child and Youth Advocacy Centre. Luna is a recognized centre of excellence in child abuse intervention and prevention. Luna’s purpose is to “ensure those impacted by child abuse receive the support they need to heal, build resilience, and thrive; and to create communities where offenders are held accountable, and all children and youth are safe.” We were proud to be able to support Cody Snyder Charity Bullbustin’ Inc. in their efforts to support this worthwhile cause.
Thank you to everyone who came out to join us for this celebratory event!
