As a Calgary-based IT company that has been in business for 25+ years, the Calgary Stampede is in our blood. We start polishing our boots and gearing up for this week as soon as the previous year’s events have finished.
Every year for the last several years, The ITeam has sponsored a fun event during the Stampede. This year, we sponsored and attended the Cody Snyder Charity Bullbustin’ event, at the Grey Eagle Resort & Casino. We invited 50 clients, staff, and spouses to join us.
Cody Snyder Bullbustin’ was founded by Alberta’s own famous bullrider, Cody Snyder and his wife Rhonda Snyder after he retired as Canada’s first PRCA World Champion bullrider.
This event, while technically outside of the stampede, is considered a PBR event, so riders who compete in the event are also able to earn points towards their overall world standings. While the main Stampede rodeo will seat thousands of people, this event houses a much smaller crowd, offering a more intimate experience for the riders as well as the fans.
The ITeam had a section at this event and provided everyone with food and drinks from the food trucks.
The ITeam was proud to be one of the main sponsors for the evening, and every time a rider came out of The ITeam gates, the announcer would yell something like, “Here’s Bobby, riding Midnight Sky, coming out of The ITeam shoot!”
It was an amazing experience and so much fun to share with our team and Clients. If you haven’t had a chance to go to the Stampede yet, it’s a worthy experience.
